Access Behavioral Health Services Inc. is looking to hire a dedicated and fun substance abuse counselor at our Boise or Nampa location. An ideal candidate is knowledgeable in the field of substance abuse treatment, finds passion in working with individuals obtaining recovery, commits to following strength-based recovery tools and ideologies, and enjoys working with a dynamic team of other professionals. Access Behavioral Health provides comprehensive outpatient services including; intensive outpatient, outpatient, case management, individual counseling, group counseling, co-occurring and gender specific treatment, adults and adolescents, assessment, and on sight substance testing. While working in the substance abuse treatment department counselors are encouraged and expected to collaborate with other departments to ensure clients receive comprehensive treatment to meet all needs.

Access Behavioral Health is a HRSA approved sight, individuals who work as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor can qualify for up to $75,000 in loan repayment.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher education in a human service field, or Idaho Student of Addictions Studies certification (ISAS), or student use disorder associate (SUDA) certification.
Valid license in area of education in accordance with state and licensing board(s)
Experience working in substance abuse treatment
Comprehensive ASAM training/education
CADC or ACADC preferred
GAIN certification preferred
Ability to pass an enhanced criminal background check
Desired Competencies:
Recovery and strength-based orientation to treatment
Experience working on WITS
Basic computer operational skills
Proficient organizational skills
Advanced oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities:
Complete substance abuse assessments and determine level of care need per ASAM criteria.
Complete new client intakes into treatment including treatment planning and schedule.
Facilitate evidence-based practice groups to treat substance abuse.
Provide individual substance abuse counseling.
Provide Case Management services.
Complete daily individual and group case notes.
Attend weekly supervision.
